We are currently seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Officer to join the Icon Team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial success of our organization and be a part of a dynamic team.
Position Overview:
As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will report to the Accounts Payable Supervisor and provide consistent and professional diligence in undertaking accounts payable functions. To work closely with the finance team, business and project teams to assist in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the payment system including Project Centre.
Responsibilities
- Compliance with all Icon HSE policies and processes, including innovate and participate in review of corporate policies and processes
- Communicate and liaise with project teams to ensure all HSE responsibilities are undertaken
- Assist Contract Administrators where they are unable to process an invoice
- Clear items sitting in Abbyy/AP workspace on a daily basis
- Work with AP team on frequent enquiries (see if efficiency can be improved)
- Managing weekly/monthly payments run
- Uploading payments to bank for approval
- Remittance advice send out
- Respond to enquiries in AP inbox on a daily basis
- Communicate/response phone queries as required
- Maintenance of accounts payable reconciliations including reconciling statements
- Remittance advice requests
- Confirmation of payment dates
- Maintenance of credit applications,
- Liaise with Legal to ensure wording is agreeable
- Experience in end-to-end Accounts payable function
- At least 2 years' relevant experience in the same role
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, PC applications and general understanding of accounting systems
- Excellent attention to detail
- A strong customer focus
- Proficient interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, that foster a team environment and be able to engage with staff on all levels of organisation
