About the role

As the Ranger Team Leader, you will be responsible for implementation of a broad range of park management functions including natural, cultural and built asset management, visitor management and services, stakeholder management, park planning and emergency response. You will oversee the day to day running of Cape Conran, a popular beachside campground and day visitor area on the beautiful East Gippsland coastline. You will lead a dedicated team of Rangers and work in partnership with another on site Ranger Team Leader under a supportive management structure.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Demonstrated experience in leadership, performance management and managing a team day to day.
  • Ability to flexibility manage workload.
  • Strong customer service focus both internally and externally.
  • Track record in dealing with external stakeholders on a range of land management issues.
  • Tertiary qualification in Science or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Regular and unplanned travel to rural and remote areas of Victoria (including areas where no public transport options exist) may be required as part of this role.
