Job Description
Compassionate Leader with agile, innovative mindset
Responsibilities:
- Translates Amgen affiliate and brand strategy into regional plans (to deliver successful treatments)
- Analyses the sales performance of the relevant brands in the territory and identifies key levers for action (including healthcare developments like VBHC and HIC policies)
- Keeps business unit team informed of any market changes / competitor activity relevant to strategy implementation and development
- Contributes actively to the ideation of strategic projects for brands to create value for Patients and stakeholders
- Implements new ways of working (e.g account planning, omnichannel, customer engagement, tracking) in effective way in the team
- Ensures execution of the Marketing/Commercial tactics by development of territory plans (Plan Of Actions) with team members
- Manages approved budgets to ensure appropriate allocation of resources to meet the plan and financial control
- Plans, allocates and monitors team expenses budget to ensure budgetary control.
- Tracks progress of marketing messages and programs
- Monitors implementation of plan of actions throughout sales cycles and ensures budget spend within agreed time, costs, compliance and quality parameters
- Monitors, evaluates and acts on field force metrics and standards to maximize sales force effectiveness from a quantitative and qualitative perspective
- Builds a high performing sales team by recruiting and selecting candidates and effectively on-boarding new hires
- Coaches and motivates team members to achieve/exceed territory goals and optimise individual and team engagement
- Conducts annual and ongoing performance reviews and capability assessment within the framework of Amgen’s performance management process
- Develop individual team members to continuously improve overall level of performance in their role and for future (talent) development
- Supports the team members on external key customer visits as needed
- Takes leadership in customer engagement strategies & personal external stakeholder management and adapts the customer engagement to ever changing environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
- >5 years track-record of success in pharmaceutical industry
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Very good knowledge and use of MS Office
- Very good working knowledge of English, both in oral and written communication
- Fast trends/performance analysis and problem solving skills
- Relevant local legal qualification
Preferred Requirements:
- 8+ years of industry experience in sales and marketing roles (hospital market)
- Proven experience of managing a sales team
- Bachelor’s degree in life science or (bio) medical sciences
- Relative experience in oncology/hematology
- Experience in X-functional work and different organizational levels
- Experience in project management and implementation
- >3 years people management
- Agile and open to changes (change management experience)
- Ready to experiment and challenging status quo
We offer an annual minimum base pay of € 90.000,00 gross (full time/All-In) per year and attractive benefits (e.g. office location in Vienna 1010, flexible working hours/remote work, bonus payment, pension plan, lunch allowance ...). The final compensation package will depend on your qualification and experience.
