Financial Analyst [Philippines]


 

We are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual to join our team. The Financial Analyst forms an integral part of the Finance team and is a trusted business partner and advisor to all departments. Responsible for analysing the company’s financial performance and coordinating, maintaining and improving the regular budgeting, planning and forecasting processes. We are looking for someone who has an eye for detail and great communication skills.

The Finance Team at Bailey Nelson supports functions across the whole business in Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

Role Accountabilities

● Ownership of the quarterly and annual financial planning process including coordinating the budget and quarterly reforecast

● Preparation and review of monthly management financials including commentary and variance analysis

● Maintaining the company’s long range plan model

● Understanding movements from budget and prior years on KPIs such as revenue, gross

margin, store profitability and EBITDA

● Communicating insights from analysis to the business to help drive financial performance.

● Develop and maintain retail store P&L forecasts and projections

● Work closely with the Retail team on planning and management of store wages

● Work closely with the Merchandise team to understand financial health of inventory and provisions

● Prepare new store pro-formas to assist in site selection

● Build and maintain Capex budgets

● Coordinate planning deliverables with international regions

● Provide analytical support to management as required.

● Build dashboards and visualizations using BI software to support analysis and insights

● Play a key role in corporate financing initiatives, responsible for preparing and ensuring the

integrity of financial information requirements

● Prepare weekly store wage reporting

● Prepare monthly P&Ls by store

● Prepare slides for monthly business review pack

● Prepare first cut of sales budget/forecast

● Prepare first cut of wages budget/forecast

● Updating budget/forecast files as directed

● Prepare monthly accounts for franchise stores

● Prepare expense summaries by department, e.g. marketing, IT, etc

● Assist with some month end accounting tasks

Skills/Experience

● 5+ years in an analyst or management accounting role

● CPA/CA qualification

● Experience within a high-growth environment where processes need to be developed and

formalised

● Experience with Australian accounting standards

● Experience within the retail industry (desired but not essential)

● Experience with NetSuite (desired but not essential)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Php80,000.00 - Php100,000.00 per month
